Lenten Reflection Groups 2025
You are invited to join fellow parishioners in a series of discussion groups to help prepare for Easter.
Easter is the most significant feast of the year for Christians. It symbolises hope for all humanity. Taking some time each week to reflect on the Gospels helps us to reconnect with the meaning of Easter and the heart of our faith. Discussions will be guided by the resource from the Diocese of Wollongong. This year’s resource is called Metanoia, a transformative change of the heart inspired by the Gospels.
Everyone is welcome. You don’t have to be a liturgical expert and you don’t have to come every week. Just come.
Please join us for around an hour at one of the following times:
· Monday 9.30am Milton (private home)
· Monday 5.00pm Herston (St Joan of Arc)
· Tuesday 10.00am Newmarket (private home)
· Wednesday 7.00pm Bardon (private home)
· Thursday 9.45am (after Mass) Ashgrove (St Finbarr’s)
· Sunday 9.00am (before Mass) Red Hill (St. Brigid’s)
Sign-up sheets are available at all churches this weekend and next weekend. Please indicate which group you would like to attend and provide contact details. Place your sign-up sheet in the box provided and the Group Organiser will be in touch.
Alternatively if you are unable to attend a Lenten discussion group, you are invited to stay after the 9:00am mass on Wednesdays at St Mary Magdalene’s church for an hour of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. The hour will begin and end with Adoration prayers together.
